Begin 2020 besloten mijn vriend en ik een appartement te kopen in het prachtige Gent. We zijn beide redelijk impulsief van aard en kochten na twee maanden de vijfe woning die we zagen. Deze viel binnen ons budget, had drie slaapkamers en voldeed aan mijn belangrijkste voorwaarde: op wandelafstand van het centrum van Gent wonen. Het was een appartement waar we direct konden intrekken, maar waar toch nog veel kluswerk aan was.

Het verbouwen en inrichten op een duurzame manier vraagt veel tijd. We moeten veel opzoeken, alternatieven afwegen.. En het kost veel geld. Geld dat we nog niet echt hebben als jonge starters.

Beetje bij beetje ontdekken we hoe we dit appartement betaalbaar kunnen omvormen naar onze thuis en dat op een zo ecologisch mogelijke manier!
